FBI Informant File Links Joe Biden to $5 Million Bribery Scheme

"A subpoenaed FBI informant file links President Joe Biden to a bribery scheme worth five million dollars, House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY) publicly disclosed.

Comer revealed the size of the alleged bribe Wednesday in a letter to

FBI Director Christopher Wray, who continues to stonewall Comer’s subpoena to obtain the unclassified document from the bureau. In the letter threatening action, Comer pledged to hold the FBI in contempt of Congress if Wray does not provide the file.

Based on the timing of a cash bribe allegedly offered in Ukraine, the New York Post speculated a link between the Biden family’s deals in Ukraine and the alleged bribe:

In a remarkable coincidence, Ukrainian officials held a press conference in Kyiv on June 13, 2020 — 17 days before the FBI tipoff — where they showed off $5 million in cash allegedly offered as a bribe to end an investigation of natural gas company Burisma’s founder Mykola Zlochevsky.

Burisma employed first son Hunter Biden from 2014 to 2019 and an executive from the firm met Vice President Biden at an April 16, 2015, dinner in Washington.

The cash seized by Ukrainian officials in 2020 was paid in American $100 bills that were put on display — and matches the amount that Joe Biden allegedly received years earlier.

If the alleged bribe involves Burisma, speculation leaves unclear what, if any, U.S. policies were altered because of it.

Biden Bribery Allegations Were Flagged to DOJ in 2018

"Bribery allegations were brought to the Justice Department by a whistleblower in 2018 against President Joe Biden, but the allegations were ignored, a former federal prosecutor revealed Sunday.

The 2018 whistleblower is a separate case from Wednesday’s

allegations made public by House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY), who subpoenaed the FBI for records based on a whistleblower’s claims alleging a criminal scheme involving then-Vice President Joe Biden.

The second allegation of bribery against Joe Biden involves Hunter Biden’s board membership in Burisma, a Ukrainian energy company, the New York Post reported:

Bud Cummins, a former federal prosecutor, first reported the bribery allegations to then-New York US Attorney Geoff Berman on Oct. 4, 2018, in an email claiming he had evidence that Joe Biden had “exercised influence to protect” his son’s Ukrainian employer “in exchange for payments to Hunter Biden, Devon Archer, and Joe Biden.”

In the email obtained by John Solomon’s Just The News, Cummins said that Ukraine’s then-Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko wanted to travel to the United States to meet Berman, and could produce two “John Doe” witnesses to corroborate his claims about the Bidens.

FBI Records Allege 'Criminal Scheme' Involving Joe Biden and 'Foreign National'

"Biden was vice president from January 2009 through January 2017. That time period overlaps with some of the controversial foreign

business activities of Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, who dabbled in various international business ventures with China, Russia and Ukraine — particularly during the final years of that time frame.

Since 2020, when the contents of Hunter Biden’s former laptop computer were revealed, officials have been investigating alleged connections between the activities of father and son. Although some emails have implied a connection between the vice president and Hunter Biden’s activities, Joe Biden has said he had no connection to his son’s business dealings.

In a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland and FBI Director Christopher Wray, Grassley and Comer explained the issue.

“We have received legally protected and highly credible unclassified whistleblower disclosures. Based on those disclosures, it has come to our attention that the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) possess an unclassified FD-1023 form that describes an alleged criminal scheme involving then-Vice President Biden and a foreign national relating to the exchange of money for policy decisions,” the letter said."
